Research Associate, Antibody Discovery

The successful candidate will support the design, generation, humanization and affinity maturation of antibody derived binders used in our proprietary TRuC™ platform. The position will work closely with experienced scientists in a dynamic, fast-paced and highly collaborative environment.


  • Generate and evaluate antibodies in a variety of formats (sdAbs, scFvs, FABs) to support our TRuC™ platform;
  • Design and clone DNA vectors for the generation of soluble and cell surface expressed antigens;
  • Reformat, clone and express antibodies (sdAB, scFvs or FABs) and antigens;
  • Support genome editing and gene manipulation experiments for investigating gene function;
  • Purify and characterize antigens and antibodies;
  • Epitope binning and mapping;
  • Support humanization and affinity maturation of our antibodies;
  • Analyze and present scientific results; contribute and present at team meetings.


  • B.S./M.S. in Molecular Biology, Protein Chemistry or related discipline with at least 2 years of experience, preferably in industry
  • Strong background in molecular cloning techniques
  • Experience in transfection and protein expression in mammalian and microbial systems
  • Proficient in the operation of FPLC systems and application of a variety of chromatographic techniques (affinity, SEC, ion exchange)
  • Experience with characterization of antibodies and proteins using biophysical and biochemical techniques (PAGE & Western blots, ELISA, SEC, DSC)
  • Experience with Bio-layer Interferometry (Octet) and its application in determining kinetic constants
  • Knowledge of humanization and affinity maturation processes is preferred
  • Expertise in building and screening of display libraries is highly desirable
  • Ability to implement and execute research plan in a timely manner
